“Upon checking out previous views on Château Gaillard, we found some negative reviews. We decided to try. The Château and gardens are lovely! We've found that Châteaus come in different sizes and restorations. Château Gaillard was just such. Not the shiniest, but quaint and charming. We felt it was worth the price. Interesting relics, vintage items and paintings. Minimal crowd. A nice place wander around and take your time. Tall mature trees and nice gardens are beautiful! Try the blood orange wine in the bar. It is delicious! Bought a bottle for later. Relaxing and beautiful. Give the Château a try!”

“Increíble experiencia, es un castillo impresionante que vale mucho la pena conocer. En transporte público desde paris te haces hora y media, lo que sí hay que pagar Uber por un trayecto como de 20 min pero totalmente lo vale, además no es un lugar turístico muy concurrido (a comparación de Versailles por ejemplo) por lo que va más gente local, lo que facilita tomarse fotos y moverse con más facilidad y tener una mejor experiencia en ese aspecto. El personal además de todo es muy amable.”

“Still had a hard time getting to. They closed off seeing the chapel for????reason. Fake board facade in front so entry blocks the beautiful view. Opulence is getting a bit dingy. Construction in the gardens ruins the effect. I checked off a bucket list item Viator tickets had a hard time loading all three of our tickets”

“Not gréât. When we got to Melun there were no signs of where to catch the Chateauxbus. We asked many people and ended up taking an Uber at our expensé. Then when we got to the château we saw that the tickets were 15 euros when we had paid 60 which included the useless transportation. After touring the château we found that the Chateaubus only runs infrequently during off season. Save your money and just go independently!”

“Visité el Castillo de Rambouillet y la verdad me gustó, aunque la experiencia fue bastante rápida. El recorrido por el interior me tomó apenas unos 30 minutos, ya que en ese momento el segundo piso estaba cerrado, lo cual dejó la visita un poco incompleta. El lugar en sí es bonito y tiene mucha historia, pero comparado con otros castillos de la región se siente más pequeño y menos impresionante. Aun así, las salas abiertas son elegantes y conservan ese aire histórico que te transporta a otra época. Creo que lo más valioso de este sitio es el entorno: los jardines, el parque y la tranquilidad que lo rodea hacen…”
